Jerry Lee Pease, age 77, of South Knoxville, passed away on Monday, June 6, 2016. Jerry was a graduate of Bearden High School and East Tennessee State where he majored in business and made many diverse friendships and was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. He spent 6 months active duty and 2 years in the Army Reserve. In October of 1961 he married his soul mate, Mickey Setser and joined his grandfather, Joe Pease and his uncle, Willie Pease at Pease Furniture in 1961. After semiretirement he enjoyed golf, his yard, his pond, UT Sports, and traveling. He was involved in the Vestal Boys' Club, South Knoxville Optimist Club, South Knoxville Rotary Club, the Doyle High Booster Club, and Mobile Meals. Preceded in death by his mother, Edith Hunt; his father and step mother, Ardist and Dorothy Pease; and many aunts and uncles. He is survived by his wife of more than 50 years, Mickey; daughter, Pam Pease Smith and her husband, Bates; son, Brian Pease (Kelly Whiteaker); grandchildren, Ben Smith and Molly Smith; sister, Kirby Pease Oldham and her husband, Lee; cousin, Sandy Pease Snyder and her husband, Greg. A special thank you to the staff at Fort Sanders and a special thank you to his caregiver, Tim Wyatt for all of their help and support. The family will receive friend on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway, with a memorial service to follow at 7:00pm.
