December 22, 1941 - June 18, 2016
Jack Arnold Payne, age 74, of South Knoxville, peacefully went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 18, 2016 surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a member of the former Fellowship Baptist Church. Jack retired from Precision Electric Company and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 760. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lilbern C. and Mary Jo Payne. Jack is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 53 years, Shirley Payne; daughter, Angela Payne and fiancé Don Clarahan; daughter, Michelle and husband, Gary Taft; granddaughter, Ashley Garner and fiancé, Nathan Costerisan; grandson, Riley Taft; great-grandsons, Maddox Fream and Walker Boudreau; and sister, Linda Pittman. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Amedysis Hospice for their love and care. Family will receive friends on Monday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway. Family and friends will meet at Woodlawn Cemetery on Tuesday at 11:00 AM for graveside services, Chaplain Mike Beach officiating. Pallbearers will be Nathan Costerisan, Gary Taft, Don Clarahan, Kyle Pittman, Greg Payne, and Phil Payne. Condolences may be offered at www.berryfuneralhome.com
