He was a graduate of Gatlinburg Pittman High School. He worked as a detective for the City of Gatlinburg and was a member of the fourth Judicial Drug Task Force before retiring in 1998 due to health problems. He spent his free time hunting with his beagles and sitting with his wife and friends Sid Phillips, Benny Ogle, and the gang at Caton’s Chapel Market and enjoying his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Otha and Mary Nelle Montgomery Robertson; father-in-law, Albert Moore; and grandparents, Dr. B.B. and Lenora Montgomery.
