  [S24] The Newport Plain Talk, (http://www.newportplaintalk.com), 29 Dec 2015. Mr. Darius Eugene Jenkins , age 61, of Del Rio, passed away Thursday, December 24, 2015 at Newport Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his mother Edna Lawson Jenkins , father Samuel "Sambo" Jenkins and nephew Samuel Matthew Jenkins . He is survived by his son Brandon (Tabetha) Jenkins of Marshall, NC; brothers Dean (Lisa) Jenkins of Del Rio; Ronnie Jenkins , Mike (Angie) Jenkins and Gary Jenkins , all of Newport and Richard (Lou) Jenkins of Parrottsville. Additional survivors include several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2015, at Fairview Methodist Church in Hot Springs, with Pastor Randy Wood officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Methodist Church Cemetery in Hot Springs. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church prior to the funeral service.
