Ezrar Carr, 85, of Jefferson City died July 19, 2002. He was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church.His parents were Nicholas and Litha Ownby-Kear. He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Rush-Carr; daughter, Lois Carr Fox, a granddaughter and three brothers.Survivors include his wife, Violet Johnson Carr; daughter, Georgie Carr Maples; sons-in-law, Carl Maples, Bill Fox; grandchildren, Kathy Maples Mowrer, Jeff Fox, Tammy Fox Loy; great-grandchildren, Laura Mowrer, Caleb and Evan Loy; sisters, Cora Carr Green, Martha Carr Paschal; brother-in-law, Junior Paschal; sisters-in-law, Litha and Janette Carr.Funeral service is 6 p.m. Sunday at Mountain View Baptist Church with the Rev. Robby Drinnon and the Rev. Randy Epps officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. Monday at Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery for 11 a.m. interment service. Family and friends will meet at from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the church.Farrar Funeral Home in charge.

Ezra Carr, age 85 of Jefferson City departed this life July 19, 2002. Born 1917 in the Roaring Forks area of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. During the creation of the park, his family relocated to Jefferson County traveling by wagon. He was a 73 year resident of the Mt. Horeb Community and member of Mountain View Baptist Church where he served as Deacon. Avid hunter and breeder of red tick hounds. Retired farmer and Magnavox employee. He was preceded in death by parents Nicholas and Litha Ownby-Kear, wife Myrtly Rush-Caarr; daughter, Lois Carr Fox; granddaughter, Karen Maples; brothers, John, Robert and Otha Carr. He leaves to mourn his passing; devoted wife Violet Johnson Carr, loving daughter, Georgie Carr Maples, sons-in-law, Carl Maples and Bill Fox; grandchildren, kathy Maples Mowrer, Jeff Fox and Tammy Fox Loy; great grandchildren, laura Mowrer, Caleb and Evan Loy; faithful sisters, Cora Carr Green and Martha Carr Paschal, borther-in-law, Junor Paschal, sisters-in-law, Litha and Janette Carr. Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Sunday, July 21, 2002 at Mountain View Baptist Church with Rev. Robby Drinnon and Rev. Randy Epps officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. Monday at Mountain View Baptist Church cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. interment service.
