Richard Houston Huskey, 73, of Ooltewah, died at his home on Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2006.
He was an Army veteran and a member of Providence Baptist Church. He was a member of Olive Branch Lodge No. 297 F&AM and Chattanooga Consistory, AASR. He was owner and operator of Chattanooga Janitorial and Carpet Cleaning.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Shird and Lorena Vick Huskey; brothers, Odis, Clyde, Lloyd, Eugene and Shird Jr.; and sister, Jeanine Patten.
Survivors include his very loving and devoted wife of 15 years, Patricia Lee Whitford Huskey, Ooltewah; two daughters, Cindy (Jimmy) Grant, Dunlap, Tenn., and Wanda (Mike) Putman, Rome, Ga.; three sons, Richard (Debbie) Huskey Jr. and Steve Huskey, both of Chattanooga, and Mark Huskey, Jasper, Tenn.; stepson, Greg Biggs, Chattanooga; two sisters, Printha (Lamar) Pettyjohn , Signal Mountain, and Gladys (Bill) Powell, Juno Beach, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Amber (Jeff) Read, Paul (Melissa) Huskey, Ciara Biggs, Nicholas Biggs, LeAnna Shelly, Kayla Shelly and Emilee Grant; two great-grandchildren, Ariana Nichol Biggs and Kaje Biggs; and several nieces and nephews.
The Rev. Dean Yancy will conduct the service at 1 p.m. today, Aug. 4, in Chattanooga Scottish Rite Temple.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. today in the Temple.
Interment will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
