Walls passed away Monday, October 13, 2014 in Galveston, Texas at 60 years of age. He was born June 28, 1954 in Oliver Springs, Tennessee to Meredith W. and Joyce (Mize) Walls. Paul was a former funeral director at Bates-Cooper-Sloan Funeral Home. He and Sharon moved to Galveston and opened a surf shop, “Sea Walls” of Galveston. Paul had a great love for the beach, having grown up on the Florida Coast. He leaves his wife Sharon LaPrade Walls of Galveston; daughters, Ashley Walls of Madison, Alabama, Shannon Walls of Madison, Alabama, Cassondra Percifull of Nashville, Tennessee; sisters, Sherry Braden of Knoxville, Tennessee, Edna and her husband Bob Lee of Madison, Alabama; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Bertie and Ford Hamm of Mount Pleasant; several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Sue Goff and Nettie Held. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Bates-Cooper-Sloan Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at the Masonic Cemetery in Mount Pleasant, Texas. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday evening at the funeral home.
