  Mr. and Mrs. Fred D. Mateer announce the engagement of their daughter, Dorothy Louise Mateer to Carl Francis Hershbach, of Chicago. Miss Dorothy is the second daughter of the family. She is at present associated with the Kemper Insurance Company. She is a graduate of Chicago Teacher's College and last year was on the staff of the Primary Department of the Hammond City Schools. Mr. Hershbach is an Illinois University man and is in the Engineering Department of the Commonwealth Edison Corporation.
