DORIS “DOTTIE” FAYE FOSTER, age 78, of Dandridge, TN peacefully passed away, Thursday, August 8, 2013 at the Jefferson Co. Nursing Home. Dottie, who has been disabled since birth with epilepsy, was the daughter of the late Claude and Ollie (Carmichael) Foster. She was a member of the Nina Missionary Baptist Church for many years, where she loved to attend. Even though she could not read in her bible, she was faithful to take it with her every Sunday. She is survived by sister, Nellie Forrester and husband, Don; nephew, Donnie Forrester and wife Sherri; niece, Vickie Shaffer and husband, Bobby; great-nephews, Travis and Dusty Forrester and Matthew Shaffer; great-nieces, Samantha Taylor and Kayla Shaffer; great-great nephew, Isaac Forrester; great-great nieces, Alexus and Shelby Taylor. Funeral services, Sunday, August 11, 2013, 3:00pm at the Nina Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Norris and Rev. Kyle Cate officiating. Interment to follow at the French Broad Church of the Brethren Cemetery. Family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 1:00 to 3:00pm at the church prior to services.
