Mr. Harley Allen Huskey , 78 , of Locust Place, Lenoir, passed away Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010, at his residence surrounded by his loving family after a period of declining health. Mr. Huskey was born Feb. 8, 1932, in Townsend, Tenn., to the late Jesse E. Huskey and Jessie Moore Huskey . He also is preceded in death by his daughter, Darla Kaye Huskey ; and one brother, Mayford Gene Huskey . Mr. Huskey was a member of Miracle Church and was a retired foreman from North Hickory Furniture. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Marie Harrison Huskey of the home; son David Huskey and wife Jennifer Hartley Huskey of Lenoir; two grandchildren, Lindsey Nichole Huskey and Brittney Dawn Huskey of Lenoir; four brothers, Edward Griffen Huskey of Lenoir, J.D. Wilson Huskey of Lenoir, Creed Junior Huskey of Sawmills, David Clinton Huskey of Lenoir; three sisters, Shirley Hazel Prichard of Lenoir, Helen Louise Gallardo of Lenoir and Patricia Gale Weatherman of Lenoir. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Pendry's Chapel with the Rev. Tim Suter and the Rev. Ronald Reagan officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family received friends for Mr. Huskey on Monday, Feb. 15, 2010, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Pendry's Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers for Mr. Huskey will be Tony Austin, Vinnie Hairfield, Rodney Huskey , Darin Huskey , Rick Huskey and Danny McCall.
