NICHOLS , ROBERT LEE - age 87, of Maryville, passed away Tuesday morning, August 17, 1999, at Blount Memorial Hospital. Retired from ALCOA and a member of the 25 year club. Preceded in death by wife, Ella Nichols ; sons, Arnold, Charles and Harold Nichols . Survivors: daughter and son-in-law, Imogene and Lynn McMurray of Maryville; daughter, Lois Walker of Maryville; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; sister, Irene Millsaps of Maryville; brothers, Frank Nichols and Paul Nichols , both of Maryville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 2 p.m. Thursday, August 19, 1999, at Chilhowee Primitive Baptist Church "Red Top", Rev. Ronald Morton officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
