Harold L. Thompson , age 69, of Maryville TN, passed away Sunday December 23, 2007 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Alcoa-Maryville Church of God. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was retired from the trucking industry after10 years. He is preceded in death by his father, Hubert L. Thompson , paternal grandparents James and Katherine Thompson , and maternal grandparents Jack and Mary Mullins. He is survived by his loving wife of over 49 years, Deloris Dean "Henry" Thompson ; daughters and sons-in-laws, Cathy and Alvis Wilson Jr., Crystal and Chris Daugherty, Donna And Jey Rhodes all of Maryville, Teresa Shipe and fiancé David Conners of Nashville TN; Grandchildren, Chris Wilson and wife Hoi of Knoxville, Meredith Wilson and fiancé Michael White of Maryville, PFC Kristinia Rhodes USMC stationed at Okinawa Japan, Jeffery Rhodes of Maryville, Rachael and Madeline Shipe of Nashville, and Chloe and Chandler Daugherty of Maryville; Mother, Tina Reba "Mullins" Thompson ; Brothers, Jimmy Thompson of Maryville, Clarence Thompson of South Carolina, Billy Thompson and wife Georgianna of Maryville; Sisters-in-Law, Sue Henry, Faye Henry, Betty Henry, Nancy " Goldie" Hawk all of Maryville; special nieces, Brandi, Shania, and Angel Thompson , Earlene McGuffey, Anita Hawk Russell, all of Maryville. Several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 7:00 p.m. Thursday December 27, 2007 at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel. With Rev. Melvin Lonas and Rev Hubert McGarity officiating. Famiy and friends will meet Friday December 28, 2007 at Grandview Cemetery for a 1:00 p.m. internment service.
