She was born August 17, 1935 to John B. and Missouri B. Scarbrough Henry. She was the youngest daughter of 8 siblings. She was a member of Alcoa-Maryville Church of God but in recent years attended Mt. Sinai Baptist Church. Dee was a kind and loving person who always made everyone smile and you never left her presence without a hug. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, Harold Thompson; sisters, Jewel Gentry, Doris Nelson, infant Alma Henry; brothers, Lester, J. D., Bobby and Carl Henry; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Hubert and Tina Reba Thompson; brothers-in-law, Clarence and Billy Thompson. Survivors include her sister, Nancy Goldie Hawk; daughters and sons-in-law, Cathy and Alvis Wilson, Jr., Donna and Jey Rhodes, Teresa and David Conners, Crystal and Chris Daugherty; grandchildren, Meredith Wilson and fiancé, Michael White, Kristina Rhodes and fiancé, Ian Frazier, Jeffrey Rhodes, Rachael and Madeline Shipe, Chloe and Chandler Daugherty; great grandchildren, Aiden Dutcher and Madison White; brother-in-law, Jimmy Thompson; special nieces, Earlene McGuffey, Melissa Post, Sandy Hawk and Anita Russell; and many other nieces and nephews; special grand pets, Sadie and Jack. Funeral services will be at 7:00 p.m. Thursday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home with Rev. Grayson Garrett and Rev. Herschell "Dickie" Baker officiating.
