Ann Ogle Reed, 60, longtime supporter of the Knoxville Opera Company who was active in church and civic activities, died Sunday.
Mrs. Reed was a charter member of the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, a+member of the steering committee for the establishment of the Sacred Heart Parish Council, president of the Ladies Society of the cathedral and leader of St. Mark's Guild at Sacred Heart.!
She was president of the Knoxville Rose Society, president of the West Hills Floral Club and charter member of Women in the Arts in Washington. Also, she was an Angel of the Knoxville Opera Company.
"One of her greatest joys in life was to attend rehearsals of the opera company and to watch the product develop into its final production," said her+husband, Dr. Kyle Reed, longtime president of the Knoxville Opera Company.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her sons, Philip of Nashville and Gregory of Denver; two grandsons Dustin Kyle and Mathew Philip; sisters Mrs. John Smith of Maryville and Mrs. Ted Seaton of Sevierville; and brothers, Lee of Knoxville and Max of Greenback.
