HARBISON , PHEBA - age 90, of Mandeville, La., passed away Monday, February 28, 2000. Mrs. Harbison was a longtime resident of South Knoxville. She retired from the University of Tennessee Food Services Department after 17 years of service. Mrs. Harbison was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Harbison and son, James Allen Root. She is survived by her loving family, sons and daughters-in-law, John Warren and Paula Harbison of Covington, La., Jerry Lynn and Sandy Harbison of Maryville; daughter-in-law, Peggy Root of Knoxville; 9 grandchildren, Jeanne, Lynn, John Jr., Karen, Paige, David, Tanya, and beloved granddaughters, Hope and Tina; 3 step grandchildren, Kim, Kelly, and Cory; 21 great grandchildren. Mrs. Harbison is at Highland South Funeral Home, Chapman Hwy., where the family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday. Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Doyle Landers officiating. Burial will follow in Highland South Cemetery.
