She was a 1946 graduate of the Old Knoxville High School and proud member of the Telephone Pioneers. She retired from Bell South after many years. Also, she worked at the Knoxville Coliseum from 1962 until earlier this year as head of the Usherettes. Preceded in death by parents, Marvin Sr. and Irene Stubblefield Armstrong; brother, Mickey Armstrong; brother-in-law, Hugh B. Carpenter; and beloved grandson, David Kinder. Survived by son, Ronald Kinder and wife Laura Beth; sister, Skippy Bishop and husband Asa; sister-in-law, Peggy Armstrong; grandchildren, Ronald Kinder Jr. and wife Kellie and Jennifer Kinder Speers and husband Greg; and great grandchildren, Destiny and Tristan Speers. Funeral services will be 7:00 PM Wednesday, October 30, 2013, at Bridges Funeral Home with Rev. Matt Giles officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:45 AM Thursday at Caledonia Cemetery for an 11:00 AM interment.
