Ethel Paralee Huff, age 90 of Del Rio passed away Sunday, July 12, 2009 at Morristown Hamblen Hospital. She was preceded in death by husband, Edward Huff mother and step father, Vesta and Cleland Ellison, brothers, Lawson, Henry, Kenneth and Robert. Ethel is survived by her daughters, Vera Gilliam of Del Rio, Sandy and husband Harvey Evans of Del Rio, sister Irene Smith of Ohio, grand children, Janice Brown, Billy Potts, Anita Orr, Mickey Goebel, Jason Self, Eddie Self and Brian Evans, ten great grand children, four great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, Ethel was always very active in church and was a Sunday school teacher for many years. She will be missed by many friends in the community, nurses and employees and Newport Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral service will be 8:00 pm Tuesday, July 14, 2009 in the Manes Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Suggs and Rev. Stacy McGill officiating. Interment will be 2:00 pm Wednesday in Union Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 pm Tuesday prior to the service.
