Blazier, Dorothy J., age 88, of South Knoxville, passed away on Sunday January 3, 2016 at Island Home Park Health and Rehab. She was a long time member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for over 70 years. Dorothy was a loving sister and aunt who enjoyed reading, writing, gardening and spending time with her many friends, as well as volunteering with multiple church activities. She retired from Thompson Photo after over 50 years of service. She was preceded in death by her 4 sisters, brother, and her parents. Survivors include her brother, Delmar Blazier as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at Williamsburg Villa #1 and the nurses, doctors and staff at Island Home Park for their care and compassion given to Dorothy. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 9, 2016 from 12:00-1:00 PM at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with a memorial service to follow at 1:00 PM, Rev. Dennis Blazier officiating. Private inurnment will follow in Stock Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mt.
