DeBORD, RALEIGH P. - 74, of Knoxville, passed away Tues., Nov. 2, 1999. He was retired from TVA after 33 years of service. Member of Wallace Memorial Baptist Church. He was a US Marine Veteran serving during WWII in the South Pacific, a national AKC dog show judge and a coach at Pleasant Ridge Recreation Commission for many years. Preceded in death by parents, Roy T. DeBord and Gertrude McCallie; brothers, Charles DeBord and Dr. Sam DeBord. Survivors: devoted and loving wife for 54 years, Vivian DeBord; daughters and sons-in-law, Charlotte & Frank Jeffries, Marilyn & Monte Ward; son and daughter-in-law, Randy & Debbie DeBord; son, Richard S. DeBord; 10 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sister, Vera Jean Parrott; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 8p.m. Friday at Berry Chapel with Dr. James McCluskey, Rev. David Webster and Dr. Mike Boyd officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:30 a.m. Sat. at Berry Funeral Home and proceed to Woodlawn Cemetery for a 11a.m. interment service. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Fri. at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Hwy.
