Vivian Atchley DeBord, age 88, went home to be with her sweet Jesus on January 4, 2016. She was a Christian, devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be deeply missed by her family. She is a past member of South Knoxville Baptist Church. She was a long time member of Wallace Memorial Baptist Church. She was known for her beautiful voice. Music was a large part of her life and she loved singing for her Lord. She was a former member of the Knoxville Choral Society. She was an avid bridge player and a longtime member of New Comers and Welcome Wagon of Knoxville. She was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband, Raleigh P. DeBord; parents, father, William "Bill" Atchley and her mother, Charlotte Hall Atchley. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte Elizabeth and Franklin Jeffries; grandchildren, Candace Sutton, Dale Jeffries and Tony Jeffries; great-grandchildren, Chelsey, Caylee Elizabeth, Chloe, Allison, Ashley, Abidale, Megan, Nikkie and Toni Caitlen; daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn DeBord and Monte J. Ward; grandchildren, Matthew Stephen Hagaman and Melissa Hagaman Granju; great-grandchildren, Andrew Hagaman, Jean-Michael "Jack" Granju, Nicholas Stephen Granju, Jane Granju and Elliot Granju; son and daughter-in-law, William Randall (Randy) DeBord and Kim DeBord; granddaughter and her husband, Kristin and Shawn Stewart; granddaughter, Kari DeBord; grandson, William Randall (Will) DeBord II and his wife Aubrey DeBord; great-grandchildren, Keith Logan Stewart, Konner Lee Stewart, Kadence Marie Anthony, Izaiah Kole Anthony, Jaylyn Lucy Jean Anthony, and Kason Bentlee DeBord; son, Richard Samuel DeBord; grandson and wife, Noland Patrick and Emily DeBord; granddaughters, Veronica Blair Decker, Alexis Nichole DeBord; great-granddaughters, Aria Grace DeBord and Rose McKinna Decker; cousin, Bill and Mary Alice Bozeman and family. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 7, 2016 from 12:00-2:00 PM at Berry Funeral Home on Chapman Highway. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM with Rev. Kent Williams and Dr. James McCluskey officiating. Following funeral service family and friends will go in procession to Woodlawn Cemetery for interment.
