Flynn, Arvil, M. age 86 of Maryville passed away Saturday, May 19, 2007 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of East Maryville Baptist Church where he was a Deacon Emeritus and a faithful servant of God. He served in the United States Army during WW II in Italy as a Medic and a Sergeant. He retired from ALCOA with 42 years of service. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Preceded in death by his parents, James Hobert and Amy Zola Flynn; brothers, Jack, Baxter, Paul, and Carl Flynn; infant sister, Kathryn. Survivors include wife of 64 years, Julia Hearon Flynn; daughters and sons-in-law, Pat and William Luckey, Linda and Rev. Terry Russell, Pam and Mike Brown all of Maryville; grandchildren, Carol Low, Phillip Shipley, Nick Shipley, Amy Kastendick, Kevin Russell, Brent Russell, Andrew and Tyler Brown; five great grandchildren; brothers, Leon Flynn Wiley Flynn, Roy Flynn all of Maryville, Clovis Flynn of Tampa, FL; sisters, Maxine Davis of Walland, Sue McGill of Rockford, Mary Jane Woody of Morris, OK. Funeral service will be at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2007 in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Keith Johnson, Rev. Terry Russell and Rev. David Webster officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at Grandview Mausoleum for the Entombment. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to East Maryville Baptist Church Building Fund, 1150 Brown School Road, Maryville, TN, 37804. Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary, Maryville.
