Retired from Alcoa Aluminum Company with over 25 years. Pastored several churches in Monroe County and farmed. Preceded in death by brothers, Knox, Claude, Burl and Raymond Rhyne; sisters, Ruth Nichols, Faye Connatser, Rowena Nichols; parents, Jake and Laura Montgomery Rhyne. Survived by daughter and son- in- law, Helen and Don Johnsrude of Tellico Plains, son and daughter -in -law, JayWright and Betty Rhyne of Greenback; grandsons, Joel, John and Jacob Grubb, Jay III, Joe and Jerry Rhyne; great- grandsons, Jesse, Jacob, Caleb and Koby Grubb, Jonathon and Chrisptopher Rhyne; great- granddaughters, Atha Long, Anna and Hannah Grubb, Stephanie, Rachael and Kirsten Rhyne; sister, Agnes Watson of Heath, Ohio; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 7:00 PM Thursday, April 10, 2008 at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, Rev. Charlie Ensor and Rev. Tyson McKeehan officiating. Interment service 10:00 AM Friday at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. A celebration of life for Rev. J Wright Rhyne Sr. will be held 2:00 PM Friday, April 11, 2008 at Carson Island Baptist Church, with a fellowship dinner to follow, everyone is invited.
