The Lord called his servant, Nancy Elizabeth Davis Payne, home in her 93rd year of life. A devoted wife and mother, Nancy's life was blessed with ten children, 18 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. Nancy passed away May 22, 2005 at her Walland home. She was a charter member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents Tressie Hannah Davis and Marion Davis; brothers Henry S., William T., George W., James L., Fred M., and Raymond Davis; sisters Helen Cloniger and Susie Law; husband Riley Payne; sons Robert H. ''Bud'', James Thomas, and Riley Max Payne; grandson Scott Smith; and son-in-law Neubert R. Harless. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law Mary Sue and Enoch Morrison, Shelby Harless, and Carolyn Campbell of Maryville, TN, Tressie and Bill Henry of Lakeland, FL, Sandra Stinnett of Greenback, TN; sons and daughters-in-law Ervil and Delores Payne of Walland, TN, Joe and Earlene Payne of Maryville, TN; daughter-in-law Sarah Lou Payne of Walland, TN; and sister-in-law Lillian Davis; special caregiver, Malynda Abbott. The family will receive friends at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 24, 2005 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with services to follow, with Rev. Carl White officiating. A graveside service will take place at Hillcrest Baptist Church at 11 :00 a.m., Wednesday, May 25.
