(June 26, 1933 - December 12, 2015) Jack Law, devoted husband and beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed into his Savior’s waiting arms on Saturday, December 12, 2015. Preceded in death by his parents, James A. Law and Martha Susan Law; and sister, Barbara Myers. Jack served four years in the Air Force and left the service as a staff sergeant. Jack was a member of Grandview Baptist Church for 48 years, where he served as Sunday School Superintendent, Assistant Head Usher, and a Deacon. Jack retired from Bell South after 40 years. Survivors include: wife of 61 years, Phyllis Phelps Law; children, Mike Law (Tamela), Scott Law (Kathy) Susan King (David); grandchildren, April McElroy (Chris), Lee Law, Marissa Law, Chariti Skinner (Mark), Jarad Law, Jed King and Anna King; and two great-grandchildren, Alex McKinley and Isabella Skinner. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Youth Department at Grandview Baptist Church. Jack was a great man with a heart of gold. He showed us all how kindness, love, faith, hope, and a sense of humor play the most important part of making life a success. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff at Asbury Place for their kindness and care during his stay there.
