Her family and friends were blessed to have her in their lives and they celebrate her homecoming. She was preceded in death by her husband, Huse Lawson; parents, Alice Sands and Jabe Tipton; sisters Velma Ownby and Ethel Hembree; brothers Murphy and Roy Tipton; son Melvin Lawson; and grandson Dwight Lawson. Survivors: Daughters and sons-in-law: Sylvia (Tootsie) and Luke Anthony; Shelda and Herman Shults Sons and daughter-in-law: Van and Sandy Lawson; George and Charlotte Lawson; Tony Lawson, all of Sevier County Also left behind to celebrate her life are ten grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren The family would like to acknowledge the kindness and loving care expressed by the staff at Sevier County Health Care Center and Atchley Funeral Home. A homecoming celebration is 7 PM Thursday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Melvin Lonas and Bishop John Nations officiating. Interment 11 AM Friday in Mattox Cemetery.
