Mae Ruth Lawson, age 90 of Sevierville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, November 13, 2006. Her family and friends were blessed to have her in their lives and they celebrate her homecoming.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Huse Lawson; parents, Alice Sands and Jabe Tipton; sisters Velma Ownby and Ethel Hembree; brothers Murphy and Roy Tipton; son Melvin Lawson; and grandson Dwight Lawson.
Survivors:
Daughters and sons-in-law: Sylvia (Tootsie) and Luke Anthony; Shelda and Herman Shults
Sons and daughter-in-law: Van and Sandy Lawson; George and Charlotte Lawson; Tony Lawson, all of Sevier County
Also left behind to celebrate her life are ten grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren
The family would like to acknowledge the kindness and loving care expressed by the staff at Sevier County Health Care Center and Atchley Funeral Home.
A homecoming celebration is 7 PM Thursday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Melvin Lonas and Bishop John Nations officiating. Interment 11 AM Friday in Mattox Cemetery.
