Bobby A. Owenby, age 79, of Newport went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 8, 2015.
He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Lee and Bethona Owenby, brother, bill Owenby, granddaughter, Johnna Owenby, and brother-in-law, William Gibson.
He is survived by his wife, Rosemarie Owenby, son Charles (Paula) Owenby, daughter, Margaret Maples, grandchildren, Stephen Maples, Joshua Maples, Michael Owenby, William Owenby, sisters, Beulah Owenby, Barbara Barnes, Sharon Owenby, Brenda (Charles) Frazier, and Betsy Perry, sisters-in-law, Hedwig Gibson, and Polly Owenby, and a host of special friends.
Family will receive friends Tuesday, November 10, 2015 from 6pm-8pm at Brown Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 8pm with Pastor Fred Cagle officiating. Burial will be held at 11am Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
