She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She attended Middle Creek Church of God. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Eunice Simmons and sister, Patricia K. Oaks. She is survived by her husband, Gary Denton of Newport; daughter, Rhonda (Jimmy) Day of Parrottsville; son Marty Denton of Newport; daughter, Michelle (Robbie) Manos of Rogersville; sisters, Glenda Young of Spencer, Tennessee and Mary (Jerry) Long of Sparta, Tennessee; grandchildren Nikki and B.J. Day and Jake and Justin Denton, Gary, Heather, and Brian Manos. Funeral Services will be at 7:00 pm, Friday, August 25, 2017 in the Manes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Day officiating. Entombment will be at 11:00 am, Saturday, August 26, 2017 in Resthaven Memorial Mausoleum.
