He was a former educator having taught in Harriman TN, Jefferson County, Sevier County, Walters State, and at the University of Tennessee Adult Education Center. He was also a businessman. He graduated from Brainerd High School in Chattanooga, Carson-Newman University with a B.S degree, and the University of Tennessee with a M.S degree in Education. Preceded in death by parents Glendon D. Kyker (Sevier County) and Maxine M. Kyker, a nephew Jeffrey Kyker. Survived by his brothers Donald Kyker(Cindy) of Nashville TN and James Kyker of Chicago Ill.
