DUNNELLON -- Wayne Virgil Noland , 76, a retired law enforcement officer for sheriff's departments in Marion and Citrus counties, died Sunday, April 23, 2000, at his residence. A native of Sevierville, Tenn., he came to Dunnellon in 1960. Mr. Noland was Baptist and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include his sons, Michael Noland , Lecanto and Dale Noland , Lake City; daughters, Patricia Jackson, Dunnellon and Portia Guinn, Crystal River; brother, John Noland , Gatlinburg, Tenn.; sister, Jane Whaley, Washington State; and six grandchildren.
