(May 17, 1931 - November 2, 2015) U.S. Veteran Leonard Leon Long, born May 17, 1931 to Roy and Elizabeth Yates, passed away Monday, November 2, 2015 at Alvin C. York V.A. Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN. Leonard served in the Army during the Korean War (1951-1955) and was honorably discharged. He loved wood working and built many pieces of furniture and birdhouses which he gave as gifts to his many friends. He built an underground house which is still in use today. He is survived by his wife, Stella Russell Long; step children, Bill Russell and wife, Belinda, Libby Deere and husband, Michael, Jon Russell and wife, Lisa and Shannon Russell; brother, Russell Long of Mason, Ohio; former wife, Bonnie Jewel Haun Long and several nieces and nephews.
