HEADRICK , LEWIS F. - born Aug. 23 , 1919 , of Tazewell , Tenn. passed away Aug. 24 , 2000. Member of Texas Valley Missionary Baptist Church, WWII veteran. From an early age and until his late 70's, he sang gospel music, taught singing schools in many churches, and visited over 340 churches, including Misawa Missionary Baptist Church in Northern Japan. He sang at the Fall Homecoming at the Museum of Appalachia's log church for 17 years. Preceded in death by wives, June Wallen Headrick and NettiePearl Mitchell Headrick; parents, Frank & Becky Harville Headrick; brothers, Pierce and Burl. Survived by daughter, Norma Wolfe; son and daughter in law, Tony & Janice Headrick both of Bean Station; son, Dan Headrick of Knoxville; granddaughters and husbands, Karen & Jeff Williams, Leslie & Chris Robinson, Sherry & Mark Harrell, Elaine & Troy Morgan; great grandsons, Cody and Jesse Harrell; sister, Dessie Farr of Maryville; 6 nephews; 7 nieces; many other relatives and friends. Service 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Texas Valley Baptist Church, Rev. Curtis Tindell officiating. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. Honorary pallbearers: granddaughters. Pallbearers: nephews. The body will lie in state one hour before the service. Arrangements by Mynatt's.
