LINDSEY, DIANE SHEILA (HUX) - age 53 of Newport, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday March 21, 2001 at the East Tenn. Baptist Hospital in Knoxville. She was a very active member of Northport Baptist Church for many years. She was preceded in death by her father, Carl Hux; niece, Jada Hurst ; grandmother, Bertie Cogburn Freshour. She is survived by her husband, Larry David Lindsey of the home; son, Andrew (Andy) Lindsey of the home; daughter, Shanna Lindsey of Knoxville; mother, Irene Freshour Hux of Parrottsville; brother and sister in law, H.C. and Sandra Hux of Newport; sisters and brothers in law, Mariorie and Bob Hurst of Newport, Rhonda and Gary Palmer of Lexington, Ky.; several nieces and nephews and a host of other friends and family. The funeral will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Northport Baptist Church, with Pastor Eddie Young, Rev. Charles McGill and Rev. Paul Jennings, officiating, with burial in Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12 noon until 2 p.m. prior to the funeral at Northport Baptist Church.
