He was a mechanic at Smokey Mountain Gulf for 40 years, and a member of Laws Chapel Primitive Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tressie Lee Davis ; parents, Bill and Allie Davis ; brother, Marion (Buck) Davis ; and sister, Nadine Davis Effler. Survivors include wife and mother of his children, Mary Louise Cameron Davis of Walland; daughters and sons-in-law, Ronnie and Brenda Shaffer of Madisonville, Jim and Karen Buckner of Greenback ; son, James (Doc) Harrison Davis Jr. of Maryville; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brothers and sister-in-law, Billy Davis of Townsend, Bobby Davis of Maryville, George and Kate Davis of Maryville, Larry Davis of Knoxville; uncles, Bunt Davis of Greenback , John Moore of Walland, Kelsey Davis of Texas; special angels who took care of him, Jeffery Buckner and Tanya McKee, and a host of nieces and nephews.
