HEISKELL, BONNIE JOE CAUGHORN - age 75, of 5600 Abbeville Highway, Anderson, South Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2014, at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Knoxville, Tennessee, on June 10, 1939, she was the daughter of the late James Caughorn and the late Marie Roberts Caughorn . For 55 years, she was the loving and devoted wife of Jack D. Heiskell, of the residence. Mrs. Heiskell was a seamstress with De Royal Industries. She was a faithful member of Neals Creek Baptist Church. Her primary pastime was sewing. She had a tremendous capacity to love others, and she had the personality such that she never met a stranger. In addition to her husband, Jack, she is survived by a daughter, Karen D. Kohlmayer and her husband, Ken of Anderson; brothers, Leonard Caughorn of Nashville, TN, and Dail Caughorn of Maynardville, TN; sisters, Judy Gaddis and Gail Walker both of Knoxville, TN, and Janie Long and her husband, Steve, of Maynardville, TN; a grandson, Christopher A. Kohlmayer of Anderson; and a very special and close friend who was like a son, Rick Roberts of Ft. Mill, SC. She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. The funeral service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Heiskell will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at Neals Creek Baptist Church, with Rev. Jason Dorriety and Rev. James Russell officiating. Interment will follow at the Neals Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be at the residence, and will receive friends at Neals Creek Baptist Church on Saturday, November, 8, 2014, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. Contributions in memory of Mrs. Heiskell may be made to Neals Creek Baptist Church, 3204 Amity Road Extension, Anderson, SC 29621; or to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
