Leonard Spoon, local post office employee, died today of a heart attack, following a swim at Turner Falls, according to word received here at noon.
Mr. and Mrs. Spoon had been vacationing in Turner Falls with their seven children. Details of the death were not certain, but Mrs. Spoon telephoned relatives that her husband evidently had a cramp while swimming. He was rescued from the water and then died, apparently of a heart attack.
Funeral services will be announced later by Chickasha Funeral Home.
Mr. Spoon had been employed at the local post office for approximately seven years. He served a year in the army.
Survivors include his wife; six daughters, Jeanette, Louise, Linda, Judy, Sharon and Karen; one Son Johnny; his parents, Mr. & Mrs. G. S. Spoon, and one sister, Mrs. Velma Byers.
