Mary M. Gay was born February 17, 1906 in Walsenberg, Colorado, the daughter of Seth A. and Katherine (Ewing) Ogle and died Sunday, June 18, 1995 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. At the age of three she moved to the Naples area and spent her childhood. She came from Colorado in a covered wagon. She and Pleas Gay were married March 9, 1924 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Mrs. Gay lived in Chickasha all of her married life. She took school census for many years, worked on the Grady County Election Board, worked at Old Hickory Bar BQ Drive Inn and also worked for Bill's Bakery. She was a member of the Southern Oaks Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pleas Gay on February, 1993, four brothers, Glen Ogle, Dave Ogle, Walter Ogle and Albert Ogle and four sisters, Zona Ricks, Zorada Spoon, Maud Spoon and Ora Barrett. Survivors include; one daughter and her husband, Etta Mae and Jack W. Jorgensen of Rockport, Texas; one grandson and his wife, Eric A. and Dorothy Jorgensen of Mesa, AZ; one granddaughter, Dianna Lucke of Marshall, Michigan; four great grandchildren; one brother and his wife, Alfred and Lucille Ogle of Placerville, California; three sisters-in-law, Ila Faye Gay of Alex, Oklahoma; Ertha Gibbs of Chickasha and Ethel Nelson of Mesa, AZ.
