BLANKENSHIP Precious Dane Max Blankenship was taken from us and whisked away to heaven in a tragic traffic accident on October 25, 2004. Dane Max was born to Dana Cline and Mac Blankenship on February 23, 1982 and was immediately everyone's sweetheart! That curly blonde hair and thumb in his precious mouth was his trademark during his childhood years. Even when he won the state championship in wrestling he marched right out on that mat, beat his opponent and walked away a winner with that little thumb in his mouth. Dane Max was baptized at Mustang First Baptist Church on September 11, 1994. As Dane grew up into this beautiful young man, his wit and mischievous grin made him "Most Mischievous as a class favorite his senior year. This followed him all the way to heaven on that tragic night. Those high school wrestling matches were when he was the most fearless. He really did believe that he was unbeatable, thanks to the confidence that his friends, family and coaches, Danny Brown, Dave Rankin and Will Allen instilled in him. With all his tough outside appearance Dane was a very tenderhearted, loving and caring child. In his short life he played hard, worked hard, grieved and loved deeply. He was a winner in life. Dane was a proud OSU Cowboy where he was majoring in business at the time he was taken to heaven. Dane Max now walks with his Papa Hootie on those wonderful streets of gold. Dane was preceded in death by his Papa Hootie Cline and is survived by his mother and soul mate, Dana Cline, his father, Mac Blankenship and wife Ginger, his brother and best friend Dace Macline. He is also survived by Maxine Cline, his Mamma Max & Roy Byrd, Granddad and Gram Curtis Blankenship, Aunt Denise and Uncle Jim and cousins, Chad and Cory Hledik. He also leaves behind to mourn and miss him, Aunts and Uncles Judy & Bill Hatton, Tony & Lanetta Shapley and cousins, Hayley, Cami, Mica, Curt & Bryan along with many spouses, cousins, and relatives. Dane also leaves behind his 2 favorite companions, Duce and Gunner, Oh those dogs! But he loved them so much! Dane was surrounded by many family and friends who know that there is a special place for him in that beautiful place called heaven. "Plant a flower, plant a tree, or look at the stars and think of me. I am the gentle winds that blow and wherever you go, with you I go. Don't grieve for me because I'm not here, I've gone to a better place where I have no cares. Look after my mother, look after my Dad and for my precious brother, be with him, don't let him be sad. I love all of you with all my heart, and if I was here right now I'd tell you all these things. But where I am now I cannot return and I am at peace. I wouldn't come back, because now I'm home. I love you all. Dane Max. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pets and People, 701 Inla Ave., Yukon, OK 73099. Services will be held 2 PM Friday, October 29, 2004 at Mustang First Baptist Church under the direction of McNeil's Mustang Funeral Service, Mustang, Oklahoma.
