BOISE CITY, Okla. - Alva "Al" Hankla , 87, died Friday, May 4, 2007, in Durango, Colo.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in St. Paul's United Methodist Church with Jim Hewett, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Boise City Cemetery by Cimarron Mortuary.
Mr. Hankla was born May 15, 1919, in Goodwell to William R. and Zola Belle Tomlinson Hankla . He was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Boise City, past member of Kiwanis, Rotary and Boise City Chamber of Commerce.
Survivors include his wife, Ina Hankla of Durango; a son, Larry "Hank" Hankla of Chevy Chase, Md.; a daughter, Cheryl Ellis of Durango; and three grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Boise City or Hospice of Mercy in Durango, in care of the mortuary, P.O. Box 277, Boise City, OK 73933.
