  [S142] Newspaper Article, Lewiston Tribune (ID), 4 Apr 2000. GOODING, Idaho -- Former Lewiston resident Dale Arthur Perry, 82, died of causes related to age Friday at a care center here. He was born Jan. 17, 1918, at Gooding to John and Cordie Reagan Perry. He attended school in Fairfield, Idaho. He and Edna Bahr were married and had three children. The couple later divorced. In 1947 he married Leona Wilson. They lived in Wendell, Idaho, for a few years before moving to Lewiston. Perry worked on a farm, milked cows, built trails for the U.S. Forest Service, drove long-haul trucks and did custom tractor work during his lifetime. In 1991, he and his wife moved to Boise to be closer to family. He enjoyed family get-togethers and spending time at the family cabin in Donnelly, Idaho. He was an active high priest of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He also served as elder's quorum president, high priest group leader and various other positions in the church. His marriage to Leona Wilson was solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple in 1962. Survivors include his wife at Boise; two sons, Lee Perry of Blackfoot, Idaho, and Roger Perry of Garland, Utah; a daughter, Sandra LeBrun of Newberry, Mass.; two stepdaughters, Winnie (Lou) Walker of Boise and Beverly Eudey of Scotts Valley, Calif.; a brother, Floyd Perry of Pocatello; a sister, Joyce Collins of Pocatello; 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, sister, stepdaughter and grandson. Viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Relyea Funeral Chapel in Boise and at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Chapel, 3020 W. Cherry Lane, Boise, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Wednesday. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Boise LDS Chapel. Burial will follow in the afternoon at the Wendell Cemetery. The family suggests memorials be contributions to the Alzheimer's Foundation, 4696 Overland Road, Boise 83705.
