On November 28, 1977, you struggled to enter this world. It would take 18 hours before you arrived. Little did you know that would not be the last struggle you would endure. In fact, your entire life was filled with struggles because you were an individual with Prader-Willi Syndrome. Yet, even with your disabilities and frustrations, your spirit and innocence was never lost. Your smile was grand and your laughter contagious. But Little Love, your desire to be free was even stronger. On December 27, 2007, you went on an adventure and disappeared. We would not learn of your success in breaking free from your struggles until Saturday, March 29, 2008. You found peace in the place you most enjoyed, being at one with nature. You now join your grandfathers, Aram Al Pohan and Bert Buck Kandarian ; grandmother, Sue Pohan; uncles, Jeff Pohan and Jerry Kandarian ; and other family members in Heaven. Another precious Angel you have become. Your body may be gone from us but your spirit will always live in our hearts. We rest in the glory that you are now at peace and in the safest place you will ever be. We love you Steven and look forward to being together again one day. You leave behind your mom and stepfather, Denise Pohan Tarvin and Phil Tarvin; brother and his fiancee, Keith Tarvin and Jennifer Bergstrom; father, Steven L. Kandarian ; grandmother, Donna Kandarian ; aunts, Cathy Pohan and Toni Barrett; aunt, Gail Pohan-Hansgard; uncle Jim and aunt, Teri Hunter; great-aunts, Pepper Ametjian, Margaret Ohanesian and Julie Arnold; and all your cousins and their families. Family and friends will gather to celebrate Steven's life at the Tarvin home in Visalia on Saturday, April 26, 2008, from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. The family requests donations be made in Steven's name to the Prader-Willi Cali-fornia Foundation, 514 N. Prospect Ave., Suite 110-LL, Redondo Beach, Ca. 90277.
