Private inurnment for Emma Lou Calvert Delk , 78, Lawton, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Cyril Celestial Gardens under direction of Whinery-Huddleston Funeral Home.
Mrs. Delk passed from this life on Saturday, May 5, 2012, in Lawton.
She was born Jan. 28, 1934, in Anadarko to Frederick Marion Calvert and Vonnie B. Stone Calvert . She married Richard Leroy Ogle and they had a son, Jerry. She later married Raymond Richard Ebisch and they had three daughters: Pam, Teresa and Lisa Kay. After raising her own children, she raised her great-grandson, Collin Newton.
She was employed by the Comanche County Clerk's office for several years. She was Property Manager at White Glove Remax. She later retired to care for her aging mother. She was an avid genealogist and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She loved to garden and her lawn was always green and lush with flowers. She shared vegetables from her garden with family and friends. She excelled at cooking, having learned at a very young age. She was always willing to help anyone who had a need. The door to her home was always open and welcoming to all. She possessed an extraordinary inner and outward beauty.
Survivors include her four children and their spouses: Jerry and Kathie Ogle , Lawton; Pam Morrison, Lawton; Teresa and Rick Kirkendall, Lima, Ohio; and Lisa Kay and Doyle Harris, Red Oak, Texas; eight grandchildren: Amanda Ogle , Tiffany Newton, Damon Newton, Eric Morrison, Maegan Morrison, Shannon Gooday, Mandy Bennett and Kasie Ingraham; 17 greatgrandchildren; her dear sisterin-law, Joanie Calvert , Cocoa, Fla; her close friend, Frankie Gomez, Lawton; and many cousins, friends and family.
She was preceded in death by both parents; her brother, Bill Calvert ; and her granddaughter, Erin Morrison.
