Funeral for William H. Ratliff, 65, 1402 S. 13th, Chickasha, will be held at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel of Sevier Funeral Home. Rev. Gene Strother, pastor of the Maranatha Baptist Church will be officiating.
Mr. Ratliff was born April 1, 1918 in the Blanchard area. He died Wednesday, Aug 24, 1983 in Chickasha.
He and Georgia Ruth Mitchell were married March 24, 1943 in Chickasha.
In 1953, Mr. Ratliff bought Ratliff's DX on Highway 62 just east of the Washita River, operating it for over 25 years. He retired in 1978.
Mr. Ratliff was preceded in death by one brother, James Richard; and his parents, Mr. & Mrs. James W. Ratliff.
Survivors include his wife, Georgia of the home, three sons, Alvin Ratliff, Larry Ratliff and Wayne Ratliff all of Chickasha; four sisters, Jessie Marie Wilkerson of Calif., Beulah Tugman of Midwest City, Clista King of Chickasha and Erma Moews of Oklahoma City; two brothers, David Ratliff and J. W. Ratliff, Jr. both of Blanchard; and 10 grandchildren.
Interment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery.
