HOWARD , MARY JANE (MA) CALLOWAY - age 95 of New Market, passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2001 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. She was the oldest member of Pleasant Grove (Haworth) Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband, Halmond L. Howard , Sr.; son, Halmond L. Howard , Jr.; brother, William Calloway; sisters, Lucy Calloway and Elsie Stone. Survived by daughters, Mary Lou Witt of Knoxville, Betty Boruff of Ind., Dorcas and husband, Robert Haws of Knoxville; sons and daughters in law, William (Bill) and Carolyn Howard of Knoxville, Robert and Jenny Howard of Fort Wright, Ky., Larry and Shirley Howard , Rod and Helen Howard all of New Market, Ed and Emma Howard of Jefferson City; sister, Gladys Boruff of Tipton, Ind.; brother, James Calloway of Knoxville; 21 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; special friends, Ann McClain, Mary and Kenneth Hodge; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service Saturday, November 24, 2001 at 8 p.m. Fielden Chapel, with Rev. Johnny Beeler, Rev. Henry Davidson and Rev. Johnny Mills officiating. The family and friends will meet at 9:45 a.m. Sunday for the 10 a.m. interment at Pleasant Grove-Fielden Cemetery.
