Johnny H. Flynn, age 87 of Seymour went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday September 9, 2015. He had been sick for several years but he was in good spirits even then. He retired from the Knoxville Glove Factory, after working there for 36 years. Then he served in law enforcement in Sevier County, Tennessee for several years. Next, he was a dedicated Constable for 16 years in the Sevier County area. From there he went to work at the Smoky Mountain Jubilee in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee for several years. Next, he was an associate at the West Gate Resorts in Gatlinburg-Great Smoky Mountain area for several years. Then he really did retire for the last time from West Gate.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, his sisters, his wife, Mary C. Flynn and his grandson, Warren John Clift, Jr.
He is survived by his daughter, Linda Darlene Flynn Clift and husband Warren.
His sons, Tommy J. Flynn and wife Sherry, Gene Flynn and wife Mary Ann, Charles W. Flynn, and Johnny Lee Flynn. He is also survived by his sister, Edith Flynn Lawson, of Ohio, and ex-wife and soul mate, Lois Maples, of Pigeon Forge, TN. His Grandchildren: Thomas Flynn and wife Lesleigh, and Jeffrey Flynn and wife, Kristie. Great grandchildren: Brieson, Amanda, and Anthony Flynn, also several nieces, nephews, cousins, and great grandchildren.
The family of Johnny H. Flynn would like to extend a very special and heart felt thank you to Ron "Hoss" Seals and the office he serves, for being such a good friend to him and his family through the years. God bless you.
Johnny loved everyone, and loved The "Lord" with all his heart, he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
The family will receive friends from 11AM -1PM Saturday at Atchley Funeral Home, Seymour with funeral service to follow at 1PM with Rev. Patrick Koster officiating.
