KING - Mrs. Gladys "Imogene" Ward Presswood, 81, of King died Friday morning, Aug. 8, 2008, at her home.
Mrs. Presswood was born in Forsyth County on April 18, 1927, to the late Elonzo Columbus and the late Elizabeth Rachael Hill Ward.
She was a member of Northside Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, embroidering, crochet, cooking and gardening.
In addition to her parents, Imogene was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Amos Presswood; a son, Gary Presswood; two sisters; and two brothers.
Surviving are five daughters, Carolyn Faye (Earl) Reeves of Asheville; Annette (Jimmy) Stilley of Winston-Salem; Janette Arnold of Boonville; Debra (Vince) Marino of Advance; and Kimberly (Les) Littlejohn of King; a son, Billy Ray Presswood of Winston-Salem; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 Sunday afternoon, Aug. 10, at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall, with Brother Larry Easler and Pastor Darrell Fulp officiating. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 this evening, Aug. 9, at the funeral home.
