Athens - Athens - Funeral services for Jo Cain Warmke , 78, of Athens, are scheduled for 3 p.m., Saturday, July 21, 2012 at the Chapel of the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home of Athens. The Rev. John Green will be officiating. Burial will be at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Athens.
She passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2012 in Paris, Texas.
Jo was born July 23, 1933 in Wiley to Homer and Helen Whaley Cain . She has been living in this area since 1972. Jo loved sewing and crochet, and was a member of Lake Athens Baptist Church in Athens.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters: Doris Cain , Marium Cain , and Pam Matier; two brothers: Jamie Cain and Tommy Oathoudt.
Jo is survived by children: Joe Warmke and wife Melanie Rose of Athens and Jody Lynn Bumgardner of Paris; brother Roy Oathoudt of Rayne, La.; grandchildren: Bryan Warmke and wife Sherry, Katy Rose Warmke , Mark Harris and wife Tersea Michelle, Shelly Almon, Mindy Tidwell, Valerie McDonald and husband John McDonald, Sr.; great-grandchildren: Micheal Kyle, Jesse Kyle, Dalton Logan, Cameron Harris, Chris Harris, Leo Harris, Patrick Harris, Bailey Almon, Gregory Wynn, Jared Posey, Ty Tidwell, Gracie Tidwell, Luke Tidwell, John Curtis McDonald, Jr., Korbin McDonald; and one great-great-grandchild, Brianna Hodges.
Pallbearers will be Mark Harris, John McDonald, Sr., Bryan Warmke and great-grandsons.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., prior to the service on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at the Chapel of the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home of Athens.
Arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home of Athens.
