Thressa Whaley Manley , 88, a retired postal clerk, died Tuesday, Mey 6, 2003, at a Fort Worth hospital.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Friday in Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel. Burial: Graford Cemetery.
She was born Aug. 15, 1914, in Jack County, the daughter of William Henry and Hattie Mable Wood Whaley . She had lived in Graford most of her life. Her great-grandfather, John Wood, built the first house in Jack County in 1855. She was a member of Graford Church of Christ. She was predeceased by her husband, Joe Manley , in 1985; one sister; and one brother.
Survivors: Daughter, Sylvia Jo Manley Nowak of Graford; grandchildren and spouses, Tami and Mike Segars of Fort Worth, Kim and Mark Thompson of Keller, Eddie and Susan Nowak of Graford and Bart Nowak of Roanoke; great-grandchildren, Brittany, Skyler and Tanner Segars, Justin and Trace Nowak, Justin Carr and Blake Sparks; and sister, Joanna Martin of Houston.
