  [S142] Newspaper Article, The Roane County News (Kingston, TN), 29 Oct 2008. Jimmie Lee Northern , 71, of Oakdale, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2008 at his home, his loving family by his side. He was saved and baptized of the Baptist faith for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dillard and Lillie Northern ; Betty Lou Northern his wife of 47 years; Richard Lee Northern their infant son; Jimmie Lee Northern their infant grandson; and brothers, Dillard 'DJ' Northern Jr. and Tommy Northern . Mr. Northern is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Paul Morris of Oak Ridge; sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Evette Northern of Rockwood and Jeff and Denise Northern of Oakdale; son, Mark Northern of Harriman; grandchildren, Jason Northern and wife Stacy Brandon Northern , Sarah Morris, Ambra Nantz and husband Rodney, Holly Northern , Stephanie Morris, Brittany Brown and Logan Northern ; five great-grandchildren, Cameron, Hayley, Alan, David and Ethan; wife of two years, Carol Northern ; many nieces, nephews and friends. The family received friends Thursday, Oct. 9, 2008 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Evans Mortuary. Funeral service followed at 8 p.m. in the chapel with Rev. John Underwood officiating. Interment was held Friday, Oct. 10 at 4 p.m. at the Piney Grove Cemetery in Harriman. Evans Mortuary of Rockwood served the family of Jimmie Lee Northern .
