Joshua Wilkerson , 19, of Andersonville, died Sunday, June 6, 2004.
He graduated with high distinction at Anderson County High School in 2004. While in high school he finished third in the National Future Farmers of America Land judging competition in Oklahoma. He planned to attend Pellissippi State Community College late this summer.
According to his family, Joshua 's hobby was working on old cars. He was a member of Lone Mountain Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Contessa Anna Wilkerson ; a special friend, Kayla Sheehan; and by his grandfather, Jesse Carter.
Joshua is survived by his father, Gary Wilkerson and stepmother, Deborah, of Andersonville; his mother, Mary Carter of Winter Haven, Fla.; his brother, Jacob Lee Wilkerson , of Andersonville; his grandparents, Curtis and Geraldine Wilkerson of Andersonville and Edna Lewallen of Lake City; a special uncle, Anthony Wilkerson , of Andersonville; several other aunts and uncles; and by a special friend, Toby Geren, of Clinton.
The funeral will be at noon Wednesday, June 9, 2004, in the chapel of Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton with Mark Morrison and the Rev. Roger Carter officiating.
Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Gardens on the Oliver Springs Highway in Clinton.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 8, at the funeral home.
