Makayla Gabrielle “Gabby” Romines – age 19 received her angel wings after an epileptic seizure on Thursday, August 27, 2015. She lived in the Knoxville area all her life, attending Oak Ridge High School. She will be remembered for living life to the fullest with a fearless attitude and immense courage. She was a spectacular gymnast as well as a diva and a princess. Known to say what was on her mind, she also loved to play the guitar and dance. She was humorous and sarcastic, and hated mornings. Her life would seem short to many, but those who were touched by her understood the quality of her existence far exceeded the quantity of her time. Makayla’s perseverance was an inspiration to us all. She is survived by her mother, Christy Greene-Jones and stepfather Price Jones; father, Christopher Romines (Deborah); fiancé and best friend, Evan Wagner; brothers, Dylan Jones and Jonathan Romines; as well as her fur-baby, Bella who she loved with all her heart. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 1, 2015, at 7:00 PM at Bridges Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Dotson officiating. Friends and family will meet at Greene Family Cemetery on Wednesday at 10:45 AM for an 11:00 AM interment. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Tuesday at Bridges Funeral Home. Arrangements have been placed in the care of Bridges Funeral Home, 5430 Rutledge Pike, 865-523-4999.
